If in excellent condition with a clear title, one owner, all maintenance records, and no mods then take the kbb 'retail price' and add an appropriate 'premium' on top of that price. With just 23,000 miles I would start $5,000 higher and see if you get any inquiries. If nothing, then head further down the 'premium' add-on. Ultra low mileage cars command these 'premiums' and your car fits the bill if the above conditions are met.

no no, let me clarify, thats what a dealer would want to buy it for he would try to get around $15000 the problem is with the fact that it is a 97 i have the same exact books that every major dealer uses in the southeast, carmax, drivers way, all that. The same exact book that they would use if you were to trade it in. IF i am not mistaken 97 did not offer heads up display which hurts the car as well. I can give you all the wholesale categories if you would like, which clean book is where it would need to be bought. Now of course if you would like to use ebay and autotrader as a guide you will see 97 as high as $18-$19k which is rediculous, they can ask whatever they want but chances are the reason you are reading the ad is because they have been unable to sell it. Just last year I had a convertable 02 with 64kmiles clean car no paintwork as nice as they come, i sold it for $20000 plus tax. If your real curious swing buy a drivers way or a chevy dealer, and see what they would offer you if you sold it to them outright and let us know.
