All you have to do is buy a piece of angle aluminum from the hardware store. Mark the size you need (you are just using it to make two L brackets), cut with a dremel (or metal sheers), put in place, mark where to drill a hole for the factory screws, drill, install.

Now mark a hole for radio cage on the other plane of the bracket, drill and finish installation.

I think I just made it sound WAY more complicated than it is, lol!

Also, I recommend our vinyl or suede wrapped bird double dins over our factory finish style. They cost less and will get to you in a couple weeks instead of a couple of months...

Just wondering, for the vinyl covered bezel, how low do I need to get the deck from the top of the opening? Do I need to cut out the bottom plastic piece that the stock deck rode on right above the hvac controls? Or can the new DD unit I am putting in sit on top of that?

99% sure you do not have to cut the plastic piece, it can depend on the unit you use though...

Pioneer D3, just curious, because it is right up against the top of the opening and it is in there pretty snug, even after I trimmed out the tabs at the top of the opening.

VIP, did you leave the plastic bottom in or did you cut that out as well? My D3 seems to be sitting higher up than yours???

The plastic shelf is still there. I only cut the standing tab in the back. If you check out the thread, you'll see pics.

I would say it is by far the best thing you can do to your t/a's stereo. ive had 2 single dins and a flip up touch screen in my t/a and my new double din is by far the best out of them all.
