Default Custom Y Bend angles

to the custom ypipe guys:
I want to have a custom ypipe built out of oval tubing and merge into a round collector for clearance. I want to buy the piping and bring it to a shop to have them make a piece. I was wondering what angle bends are needed after the headers to the merge. thanks guys!

98Aggie, how is ground clearance with that y? any clearance pics or tips to tucking the pipe up as far as possible without it hitting the floor board under throttle

That is the one on TXCAMSS car. The straight pipe under the drives floor has been ovalized to clear the floor. Also not in the picture on the first 90 elbow on the drives side there is a small rubber braket welded on and bolted to the floor to dampen the isolation on that side.

It takes time to fit and clearance everything but it can be done. I'm sure you've seen the one built for Patrick G Trans am that had excellent ground clearance and did not hit the floor.

You can buy it - there are some companies out there. Right of the top of my head is Dr. Gas and BSR products
