Default will my lt1 t-56 parts fit into a ls1 t-56

Alright i have a built t-56 out of a lt1 car. Im thinking about building a ls1 t-56. I know the housings are different because of the push and pull hydraulics, i also read that the input shafts are different. Is that it? Is everything else the same. I.E. the gears, all internals? Basically it cost $2500 to build this trans and if i get a ls1 trans and switch them out i will save alot of money. What do you guys think?

The Input Shaft and Front Plate are different..that and the Bell Housing.

You will have to have the preload checked on the Input Shaft and Countershaft though if you Swap the Front Cover & Input Shaft. Most people forget that step.
