Default How rare? 05 Light Platinum with grey interior.

Just bought this car two weeks ago and didn't realize it was a rare color combo. Silver/silver I thought would be dime a dozen? 05 with 50K for $19,900.

Wouldnt consider it rare and unfortuantely it doesnt seem like any particular color combo on the V is selling for more. Theya re all pretty much about even.

Only "rare" color I would consider on a V is thunder grey since it was only made in 07 and very few were made.

We have a winner here.

I have Plat/blk interior (probabaly the most popular color combo), but have no moonnroof.

I wonder how may actually came without moonroofs? I had to hunt and hunt to find mine with no moonroof back in '05. I went to one dealer that had 19 (yes 19, I think they were trying to corner the market) V's in stock, and only one had no moonroof.

No FAWKING moonroof, which is just one more thing to fix later on.
I say:
"V without moonroof is a real race car!!!

My moonroof is for sale in the Classifieds Section, first $6,000 takes it, I will pay for shipping, but you first need you to send me your non-moonroof, thanks.

Benefits of no moonroof:

- There is a LOT more headroom inside w/o the moonroof. This really makes a difference once you start driving with a helmet.
- loosing 50ish pounds up high
- Car is slightly stiffer
- Never any leaking or wind noise
- I've never had a sail panel issue (105k miles, plus many miles at the track with windows down 135mph+). I really think the sail panel issue that so many people have is caused by the way the air flows through the car with moonroof and windows open.
- Once less thing to remove & rivet up if you ever get serious at the track

I have silver with light gray interior and have not seen another one like mine.

Plug your vin in here http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

Looks like there are 898 Vs made in 2007. According to the vin decoder only 3 cars match mine. I'm not sure if that is full of crap or legit.

WOW that is a cool website. About 4k V's in '05 sounds about right.

Shows 4194 '05s. Half were black, 25% light plat, and the rest IR/SG.

3879 has the CFS RPO (moonroof), making only 315 in '05 w/o a moonroof.

My combo comes back as 1 of 8 with my exact options (lgiht plat, ebony int no moonroof.)

I wonder what it is reporting for 2004 & 2006 for total numbers?

Nice! When i was looking, there was a heavily modded V on ebay that was platinum silver with grey interior along with the one i found in Austin for $17k that i ended up trying to buy but it was too late. The seller traded it in and took just $16k for it at a dealer. I contacted the dealer and they wanted $20k for it which i told them to stick it. I could have easily had it for $17k and probably less if i didn't procrastinate for 2 weeks on the color but i really wanted black/black when i started looking and thats what i was holding out for. And... I knew if i were to go with another color interior in the V other than solid black, black door panels minimum were a MUST for me! I had the grey/black panels in my SRT8 and the door panel arm rests along with the kick panels and other grey areas began to look dirty and used compared to the black that hid all of that. The car had just 14k miles on it when i bought it and i sold it to my parents with 21k on it. It was a pain to keep looking flawless but it doesn't get driven much anymore and they love it! After that car, i realized how nice it is to have solid black interior (which my cobra had). I ended up with majority black interior in my V (all panels) but tan console and seats. Not sure how rare this combo is (black/tan) but i hated the tan when i got it... just couldn't argue the super low price i paid for it. Ill eventually swap the seats to black but the tan has grown on me since i bought it.

The storm grey and red are more rare than i thought. I've been seeing a lot of storm grey's online lately. Red i knew was a more rare color than the black/silver i see all the time.

I have the platinum/silver with no moonroof. I too had to look for the no moonroof version.
