Default CTS-V Interior trim

I am getting serious about purchasing a V. Been window shopping for a few months.

One thing that has caught my eye on one car advertised as a V, is it had wood trim inside instead of the more common brushed metal trim. As a matter of fact, I don;t reecall seeing any other V with wood trim.

Now, it could be overlays as the door handles are brushed metal. But the steering wheel nav pod, etc. are all wood grain.

So is brushed standard? an option? Any wood grain versions?

FWIW, it's a 2004.

Also, is there a designator in the VIN that tells for sure if the car is a true V or not?

If it has wood grain it was put on with aftermarket parts. They did not come with any sort of wood from factory.

If it's got a V8 and Brembo's, its a V. I've never seen anybody take the time or spend the money to convert a CTS to a V. Simply not cost effective. Especially since the price on them now has dropped so much.

Highly doubt its a conversion. I saw a couple with woodgrain on ebay when i was looking. I think it was something the original owner must have ordered or added afterward to suit their horrible taste...

Its definitely a layover kit that was done aftermarket.

You can see the brushed aluminum finish under it on the wheel and you can tell its just a cheap stick on kit.

If the car is a good deal, get it and peel that **** off immediately! lol
