Street Racing & Kill Stories - Z28 vs TA vs Z28

so i make a right on to a major street, i look behind me and i see two

camaros waiting at the light to come the same way as i just turned. i see

both take off really hard when the light turned green, im just cruising till they

catch up.. As they approach i see its an LS and an LT camaro going at it. so

at the next light the LS z28 is next to me and the other camaro (LT) is

behind me because there is only 2 lanes open on a 3 lane road, the guy

asked me if i had a stick, since he seen me roking the car back and forth. I

said yes it was and he said "u are gonna take me because mine is auto." so i

asked em what he had done to it and he said it was stock, i said mine is too..

As the light turned green we took off dead even and i just kept pulling, so i

stopped the pull around half of 3rd gear (didnt see the MPH) i pulled around 3

cars... I honestly didnt think i would pull that much on em. :punch: after that

we did a three way race and the outcome of the race was the same, me first

the the LS z28 then the LT z28. i cought a small vid but i need a better

camera guy, and yes there was 2 cars that got in their way but i know i would of still got em, the vid is the last race and i didnt catch the first ones..:bang: ....What are the possibilities that my car is a factory freak? i beat cars that i shouldnt be beating that bad, like i took on a challenger SRT8 like 3 1/2 cars :D

5200.....to know what you shifted at that means you A. Have a shift light at 5200 or B. Were watching your gauges instead of the clearly nearly stopped SUV only feet away in a decently active urban area in the middle of the day....:bang:

didnt some of the last ws6 and SS have the ls6 cam and heads in em, I remember someone telling me they seen it in GMHTP. If so maybe thats where your power is comming from.

Last time i checked it says Street Racing & Kill Stories sooooooooooo... i have to put this down as street racing and a kill story. There are thousands of people who race on the streets wether its safe or dangerous and thats something we cant control, meaning someone posting street racing in a street racing section, lol. Racing is just a part of human behavior for some people, as others lie, steal, and kill for stupid reasons. Street Racing is all illegal and all dangerous it doesnt matter if you go on a back road or whatever the conditions are wether someone posts a vid of it or just describes it. ITS ALL DANGEROUS REGARDLESS, so if you comment on one street racing being stupid and dangerous then be consistant say they are all stupid and dangerous you will get more respect that way for being atleast consistant. Pretending you were never involved in any type of street racing and especially saying well that wasnt as dangerous, your fooling yourself. This isnt directly to anyone and to the OP every forum has atleast a couple of people who will bash your thread and on another kill story tell them NICE KILL , lol. Either way good kill and you cant make everyone happy.

Your car was faster because you have an 02 which has a LS6 intake and also a M6 which has better gearing. If he had a stall on that auto itd be a different story. He probably also has 2.73s in that A4 which make it a dog.

I race frequently but would never race on a road like that. Im not bashing you but im just saying that anytime i race, its on a highway, with no intersections, stoplights, parked cars or pedestrians. We also wait until the road is completely clear in front of us. Im not saying you had that oppurtunity there, but you couldve passed on the race or told him to take it to the highway with you. Just some food for thought for next time.

First off, the guy doing the racing can control the race. If it's blatantly unsafe then don't do it.

Second, did you seriously just compare all street racing to murder?

never let anyone tell you that. the only things ls1s recieved fromt he ls6 were the ls6 intakes(01-02), and some got the block. previous years had a bigger cam, so they all equal out. LS1=LS1=LS1=LS1=LS1.

There's a huge difference between racing someone on a highway with no traffic or on a non-populated road and racing them on main street where people can walk out from behind box trucks and get waffled as you go by with your foot to the floor.

Obviously you and the guy you're racing take the risk, that's a given. Racing down Main street a lunch time is just not a good idea.

The OP was in the heat of the moment and it's understandable to think that he got tunnel vision. Also, he admitted that it wasn't the best idea, that's why I haven't bashed him.

You, on the other hand, have the advantage of being able to take a step back and watch the video. The whole, "if you say some is ok, then you have to say all is ok" mentality makes no sense. By that logic, if we say it's ok to mess around on a deserted back road then we also have to say it's ok to race through a crowded school parking lot during recess.
