HPT vcm scanner will read DTCs but nothing else...????

HPT vcm scanner will read DTCs but nothing else...???? Whenever I plug into the scanner it says connected and I can read trouble codes but NOTHING else works..(gauges not reading anything nor chart display)

All the factory parameters. I went down to just the basics like rpm iat ect,tps and the PIDs are all in there...if i go into the vcm controls section(on/off/100%) i can see rpms and tps in there...
