Default Autometer DPSS

I'm thinking of replacing my 5" autometer tach with the autometer digital shift light. My question is can I change the amber lens on the level 1 shift light? I like blue, or do they force you to purchase the level 2 if you want to change the color?

i have the 2 1/16 version of the dpss and i had to go with the level 2 to get the blue shift light. so i would guess that one would be the same way.

from what I've seen you can buy the Cobalt (blue), the level one, for like $170

I have the 2 1/16" version and after about a year the lights for the numbers started going out and now you can't even make most of them out.
