I am tired of not having any bass at all in my trans am after the back right speaker in the back seat blew and the one behind me rattles. I was planning on getting just one 12 and 500 watt amp....not Im thinking about just going with all new factory speaker and getting rid of that monsoon. I am not into the hardcore hitting bass I just want a little bass to rid to...would I be able to accomplish this by replcing the factory speakers?

Go with an MTX thunderform, they are not bad for bass. The monsoon system sucks. But to get a decent system its not cheap either. You would have to change the HU and Rewire the car to bypass the monsoon amp. I just did all this the other day it wook about 5 hours to run a set on Infinity Kappa Perfects in the door and sail panels with an MTX amp driving them. The perfects run about 200+ per set and the amps around 300+. Not to mention the wiring kits needed. www.fbodyaudio.com is a nice place for some more info.

If he just wants to add a subwoofer, you don't have to switch the headunit and bypass the factory amp. With the PAC OEM1 you will get 2 pairs of RCAs from your stock headunit. Run those to an aftermarket amp/sub. A single 10" in a stealth box will surely be enough for what you are looking for. You could go with the MTX thunderform (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38647&item=2451832640)and add an amp. Or you could pick your own pair such as:
Driver's side stealth from www.subthump.com $112
Alpine Type-S SWS-1041D subwoofer $55
JBL BP300.1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3068848955&category=18797) $122
which I bet will sound better then MTX's cr@p. Also, take a look at this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3069537239&category=50565) link. The perfect is a damn good sub, especially for the small space of the stealth box. Remember to ask the seller for the impedance of the voice coil(s) before you buy an amp.

I checked out that sub and box on ebay. Think I am going to bid on that. What is a good 150-200amp I could find at like circuit city?

Did you ask the seller what impedance the voice coils were? Becuase that is going to decide what type of amp you need to buy. And if you are already having to wait for an item off Ebay, then why not buy the BP300.1 that I linked to? (provided you can get the Perfect to 2 ohm or lower)

I was thinking I clicked that link. You tihnk that amp would match up well with that sub anyway? Also I never have bought anything off of ebay so like how do I know this amp and sub im getting havent been like real abused and once I get em after like a week they give out?

First off, the item description says that it contains an Infinity Perfect 10.1. If this is correct, then it has a single 4 ohm voice coil. If that is a misprint, and he meant to type 10.1D, then you are working with dual 4 ohm voice coils. That makes a big difference. You should still bid on it, but hold off on buying the amp until you get a reply back from him.
If the sub is the 10.1D, then go with the bp300.1, BUT assuming that the sub is indeed the 10.1, you WILL NOT want to buy the BP300.1. I recommend a 2-channel amp running in bridged mode. The JBL P180.2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3070047926&category=18796) will give you 360WRMS@4ohms. And the starting bid is only $1. but don't pay more the about $125 for it. Becuase you can get the Rockford Fosgate 501S (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3068595360&category=39737) which will give you 500WRMS@4ohms for $157.
Next, you got the Ebay jetters. The biggest thing you can look for is the seller's feedback rating. If he/she has a feedback rating of several hundred with 98% positive, you can be pretty sure that your going to be ok. But many people run there whole company off Ebay. They have feedback ratings of 30,000 or more. I, of course, have NO worries buying from these people. :)

No problem man. That's what we're here for! :) Where to mount the amp? Do you have t-tops? What about on the very back wall area? Right in front of the taillights? Or, depending on the size, you might be able to cram it next to the spare tire. Where the stock amp used to be. Thought about all your wiring yet? There is always good deals on Ebay. Also, check out www.knukonceptz.com and www.darvex.com I've dealt with both several times. Nice prices and super fast shipping from both.
Volfenhag is a swap meet brand. They run along the same lines as Pyramid, Rockwood and Baja. Just cheap ass gear with horriblely exaggerated specs. It's gonna sound like cr@p and probably won't last very long. Not trying to be a d!ck, but go with a quality name brand.

Ok. i wont mess with that crappy swap meet brand then. I tried to look up stealth boxes on there and ver even found the listing you gave me...the one with the infinity sub in it. Think I am going to try and go with it. I found a few listings for just the stealth boxes without subs..what a goos 100-120 sub to go in there, and yes I do have tee tops.

But if you can get that stealth/perfect for like $100, I'd go with that.

Hey man, I got an e amil back from the guy with the speaker and stealth box together. He said he didnt know the specs you told me to ask him about and he could just sell the box seperate. How much is it worth and can I just put any 10 inch sub in it?

I wouldn't pay more then about $60 for that used stealth alone. Seeing as how you can buy a brand new MDF one for $112. Yes, you can put any subwoofer you want in there, but be aware that the stealth box is small. Some subwoofers may be too deep and many are made to preform in larger amounts of air space. That's why I recommended the Alpine Type-S. The Infinity Perfect performs very well in small boxes. And several days have past and still no bids. Maybe you'll be able to pick it up for $45!!!
And guess what? The seller is from Honolulu, Hawaii and so am I! I just e-mailed him asking him if he'd be willing to end the auction now and if we could meet up. Then I could check it out for you and make sure everything is on the up and up. Especially becuase the item clearly states "sold as is". Then I will ship it to you and only charge you the ACTUAL shipping cost vice his $30 flat rate. It's totally up to you. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then it's cool. Just trying to help you out. But please don't screw me by saying ok and then back out after I buy it! Do you have Paypal?

Just a couple notes...I think it would be easier to pick an amp and then go with a sub to match, rather than trying to match the amp to the sub. I also think you should check out the Alpine Type R, it should pack a bit more punch than the Type S. Just my .02
