Default hard water stains on glass?

can anyone give me suggestions on how to get rid of hard water stain spots on my windows and t tops,they have been there since i bought the car, the previous owner lived near salt water, i've tried zep glass cleaner,stony's,windex,even rubbing compound, i'm out of ideas, can anyone give me some suggestions to try,thanks

#0000 steel wool with some like wheel polish only thing i could do to get them off

Steel Wool and Weimans Stove Top Cleaner will get ANYTHING off your windows.

I have used clay bar to get water marks off glass or like said above steel wool will do the trick.

ok, here is the quickest EASIEST way, go get some powdered "bar keepers friend" if im correct it is around $2.50 at any grocery store. take either a microfiber towel, or a clean sponge, and put some powder on towel/sponge. then make a paste by adding water, rub on the glass in a soft circular motion. rinse, repeat if necessary.

i stongly advise puting a good coat of wax, on the glass after your finished. to prevent any futher spotting in the future

i had this stuff sitting in my cabinet for my stove i would have never thought of using it, it is working great thank you guys.

Steel wool #0000 (make sure you use that or it'll scratch) but i did it, takes a little time but looks PERFECT!!!! when you are done, put on some good music, grab a cooler, a comfy chair, call it a day!

OP, let me know how it works. I've had those stains on my rear window for years, I never found anything as of yet, to get them off.

I just bought some Weimans and steel wool, it is working, just taking time.

Thanks for the advice!

I bought it in a spray bottle though....maybe I should have got the paste?
