Default Did you guys lose the positive feedback feel from your MGW ?

I'm having trouble deciding on MGW or Hurst billet plus.

Had the billet plus in my lt1 car and LOVED it. Loved the looks and positive feedback, and slightly notchy old school feel and classic ball.

But have heard so much good about mgw ??

I'm worried it's going to be to smooth for my taste, and leave me wanting that

"pop- pop" into gear feel.

thoughts?

I just installed the MGW today. I had the hurst that came with the car, and it is a night and day difference. My throws are about 2" now and it definitely "clicks" into gearl, solidly. You can tell exactly what gear it went into without worrying (good for me since I have no reverse blockout). I've tried the Pro 5.0 but it didnt feel as connected as the MGW does still kind of rubbery.

So what does it feel like when pushing it into gear..?

Is it like a smooth transition, or does it have a nice "feel" to it, like its "selecting" the gears instead of just engaging them, if you know what i mean?

The throw is extremely short and you definitely know when it goes in gear. The movement is very smooth, stiff, and tight between gears but when you hit the gear you know you've hit it. I'd say it's not quite as clicky as my pro-5.0 but feedback doesn't suffer. One of my friends has one in his vette and it was extremely stiff at first. After ~500 miles it loosened up and feels amazing.

I just installed one and my mine is very stiff. How much do they loosen up? If it isn't a whole lot I may end up selling it.
