Default Dashboard compatibility

I am going to be replacing my dash (lower, not upper). I have found a couple in great shape, but I don't know what the compatibility is. Mine is a 1998 Trans Am. Would, for instance, a 2000 dash work in my car? Could I just swap the air bags, or are they plug and play between years?

Thanks in advance

97-2000 dashes all interchange . Passenger airbags are the same and mount the same from 93-02 . For Firebirds they all interchange really , you just have to use a 93-96 upper dash if u use a dash from those years due to the curve right below the defroster vent being curved differently .

I am a little confused. They are all interchangeable? But 97 to 2000 are the interchangeable ones? I am probably just reading it funny, but what is different about the 2001/2002 and the 97-2000?
Thanks.
