Default Suspension color on a pewter car

I'm looking into upgrading my suspension in the next little while and I'm torn between getting parts in red or black. Being a lighter color I'm not sure how the red would look. I know the black would look good on the car, but it might look too stock. Anyone got pics of a pewter car with an aftermarket suspension?

IMO, go with black it doesn't stand out, and it hides the road grime better then red. If you want to draw attention to your undercarriage, and you keep it spotless go with the red.

I agree. No reason to make suspension parts stand out.

honestly i think the red looks like garbage... i would go with black and i don't think anything looks stock about it when your dealing with beefy aftermarket suspension stuff

Hello
What I always suggest to a customer that is not sure what color he wants. Is if you don't want it to stick out and maintain a stock appearance then go with black. But if you want something that sticks out and noticeable then go with the red. And another option is if you would like it to match your car and you have someone that can powder coat the products then we are able to sell them to you bare metal and all you have to do is just assemble the bushings and rod ends after you get them back. If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

I had all mine from BMR powder coated silver when i bought them. I have a pewter car and it looks good. I cleaned and painted parts under the car black so the silver stands out.

On a pewter car I would definetly go black, red would IMO look out of place. I have all red pieces but my car is red so it's matches well.

I'm thinking I'll go with black. I think it'll look different enough from stock just because of the shiny newness and beefiness. Those pics of the full red suspension are pretty sick though I must admit. Still going to get the red lca relocation brackets though, just for the people driving behind me to know there's something different under the car.

I'm a big fan of red and black together. I tried to accent all my red parts with black.

I did black on mine. I had red components on my white '88 IROC years ago and wanted to do something more subtle. With all the powder coat options out there the possibilities are almost unlimited. Below are some pics of what it looks like together. They are not the greatest but you get the idea.

The only thing people will be able to slightly notice is the panhard bar.

i'm also in same boat. getting all new suspension next year. I will most likely be going with all black. I just don't think the red would look very good on pewter. Plus my car is really not a show car or anything. Its nice but not perfect like a show car.
