Default Vendors - Need a buffer

I just picked up a black, 2006 GMC 2500HD and a 28' black enclosed car trailer.

I also have a Lemans Blue C6, and (for now) a 1987 Iroc (red)

For the truck and trailer, I really need a buffer, and I figured I could practice on those, before attempting the Vette. The vette still might only get waxed by hand...I'm not sure.

I'm looking for a vendor to hook me up with a nice buffer and all of the pads and attachments I will need so if I want to wax the truck and trailer in one day, I'm not waiting around on the washer to clean the pads etc.

I don't know if I need a different backing pad to do the truck vs the trailer vs the vette (will have to be very careful with that one)

Thanks everybody!

I have doing tons of research, IMO they are basically the same, one is packaged as a Porter Cable, the other is made to have the Meguire's logal affixed to it. If I read correctly, they are the same speed capable and the settings should be the same.

You cannot go wrong either way. Autogeek vs Meguires will depend on what OTHER products you wish to use with it. As they design it as a system. IF you know the difference between their products (polish, swirl removal, compounds, wax, etc etc) then you know more then the average person.

I am really getting into detailing and I will be moving up LIKELY to a Meg's GV type DA as I am using all their product with great results.

No paint correction needed for the most part but here are some results.

I would get this if I were you.

Porter Cable 7424 Full Kit

http://www.showroomfx.com/Porter_Cab...p/sfxpc-10.htm

Orange pad for heavier swirls, white pad for light swirls, blue pad for wax/sealant. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a PC.. and that's one of the best websites to get it from, that's for sure.

With a Porter Cable 7424, and Menzerna Super Intensive polish, I was able to do this:

Before: (the whole car was like this)

After:

Still not sold?

And I am by no means a professional.. and it's almost impossible to mess up your paint
with a PC, unless you drop the damn thing.

I bought the kit in the link above and wish i had done more research beforehand. 5.5" pads with a 5" backing plate is definately the way to go. Check out autogeek.net.

I have no experience with the PC. the meguiars suppostly is preferred by some more than the the pc due to the fact that the meguiars doens bogged down when putting pressure on it.

now like i mentioned i dont have any experience with the PC but it is a very good machine. and highly recommended by many.

either way you go PC or g110v2 you cant go wrong and you would be very happy
