The other option is the dana s60. But yeah if you want something that handles alot of power and will last its not going to be cheap welcome to the world or performance cars

What's that saying... "you have to pay to play" or perhaps the infamous "you get what you pay for." You can keep replacing the 10 bolt with a used one for roughly $200. Or drop big coin on a quality piece that will more than likely last for the rest of the cars life. Good luck man. I know it sucks, but at least after doing it you don't have to worry about grenading the 10 bolt every time you leave the starting line.

I have 2500 in mine, now going with a full MWC rear and suspension, dont ask what that cost haha. But i think my new rear is some of the baddest parts i can get for my street strip car for the price and should help me reach my goal of the car easier.

yeah and if u get upgrades for the rear like powder coating, aluminum center section ect, then the price can easily get over 3k.Plus u will need a stronger driveshaft when doing a rear,so another 400 for a decent upgraded one, mine as well get some good lower control arms for the new rear while its out, another 250.Oh and some nice et streets for the back so that traction can now be used with a strong rear.+410.It gets over 4k real quick,so save save save, and pray your wife will let u get it after you have saved.Mine told me i SHOULD get it,but i started smoothing her over about it 2 years ago haha

I bought a used Moser 12 bolt from a member on here for under $2K...just have the money ready, be patient and online checking the parts section constantly.
The nice thing about a used one, they already have the backing plates and axles installed.

I've got over 3k in mine. Your best bet is to look for a used one on here, if you have time to wait.

I just broke mine, so it sounds like $1800 for a Strange 12 bolt is a good deal.

Trouble is, it has 4.11. And I would prefer 3.42 or 3.73's

I just hope my 10 bolt last until I can afford a rear end. MWC 9" and a spool is my plan.

Look into a MWC Fab. 9". It'll be cheaper when all is said and done, and it's a much nicer piece

yeah these things get quite pricey. I'd say you are looking to spend about $3100-3300 for a fab 9" with driveshaft and tq arm. Eric at MWC does great work and can get you what you want. You might be able to find one used if you are lucky but if you are going to drop a couple thousand might as well go with a new one.

the expense of an upgraded rear is a major reason i havent raced it in awhile.
