Its not a 4th gen but figured you guys might like it. 468 ci dry sumped big block chevy. It made 830 hp with the new 950 cfm carb and 780 with the 750 carb. The car weighs 2500 with the driver and has 14" wide hoosiers on the rear so it gets up and goes whan you smash the loud pedal...

Are the headers on the dyno for your car?

How long are the primary tubes?

Did you dyno with the mufflers? If so what are they?

Cool to still see a BBC in a dirt track car, is it competitive?

twinturbo496: the headers that were on the motor are the same ones we run. The only difference is only the dyno headers are stainless steel and ours are not. Im not sure how long the primary tubes are, they headers made by beyea custom headers they are tri-y design and they step up from 2" -2 1/8" into a 3 1/2" collector. This header is what pretty much everynone runs on this style car. We did not have our mufflers on the motor on the dyno, it had dynomax mufflers on it we run 8" extreme mufflers on the car. It is very competitive, in the northeast Big block modifieds are the headline class at most tracks. We get to try it out for the first time this weekend..

ZONES89RS: we usually turn the motor between 7,400 - 7,600 rpm. We have a 4 1/8 stroke motor but some of guys with the shorter stroke big blocks like 3 3/4 will turn them as many as 8,300 - 8,500 rpm's.

yea, they sound awesome when they get up high in the rpm band. I wish the sound the dyno video was better but i shot it with my old piece of **** cell phone.
