Default Someone school me on the valley cover issue?

I bought an LS1/LS6? out of a 2004 Corvette and was under the impression it has the old style PCV setup on it. I have been looking for an LS6 style valley cover to replace it with (the one with the external nipple) but recently started reading some older threads (yes, I searched first)

I am now lost. I saw something that said the '04+ motors already have an updated PCV system with an internal valve and to not bother switching to the LS6 style.

Can someone point me in the right (correct) direction?

Thanks

If your motor is out of an 04 vette, then it should already have the cover with the separator under it.. Just pull your cover off and you should see a little plastic box attached underneath.
