Today we had a memorial service for Art Ramirez from Victorville California. For the past three years we have been building a 72 firebird for Art at a slow and steady pace. This guy was a pure 100 percent car lover and wanted to do it right. Unfortunately, Art was diagnosed with terminal cancer that took his strength away but his love for his car remained. Art then asked me to take over when he found out he only had 6 months to live. I did what I could when I could and put in his built big block chevy, headers, carb , th400 trans and everything as he had hopes that he would run it 1 time at LA invasion. At this point our goal is to finish his car in time to get it out there for the one run we wanted to take. Art Ramirez was a one of a kind individual who never did anybody wrong and had nothing but love always filling his heart. He loved his car down to the core. Anyone who knew him felt honored to call him a friend. He was much more than a friend to me. He was my family and I will miss him very much. RIP Art Ramirez and while your body rests, your spirit will be there with us at the track like you always were.

Wow... sorry to hear. RIP ART...

I hate that disease... it's taken much from individuals in all our lives at some point or another. Wish they would just find a cure already. :(

Curious.... what was Arts Username on here?

ill be picking up the car next weekend so i can get it tuned tested and safe. this thing is gonna be very nose heavy with a BBC with steel heads but it sounds mean and should move down that track.
