Default Help with new parts

Fellas i just won a set of 243/799 heads from a 2007 Vette with 5k on them. What parts should i replace while installing the heads? Also a set of long tubes are going on with the heads as well as new plugs/wires. What kind of gains can i expect along with a tune?

What do u mean what parts should u replace? Take old head off put new heads on. Get new head gaskets, MLS work just fine.

If you are talking about upgrading parts, then get dual springs.

I would go ahead and put new lifters in while your there. I wouldnt worry with springs until you get a cam. Your stockers will be just fine until then. MLS gaskets I do agree with.

Are the lifters and push rods easily accessible while the heads are off? I plan on keeping the springs for a whle considering they are low mileage and i wont be doing a cam swap anytime soon.

The pushrods will come out prior to removing the head. Whats the mileage on your car? I shoulda asked that earlier. The lifters will be accessible after removing the heads.
