Default Wiring/Tranny question.

I have a 1993 GMC Typhoon and I am looking at putting in a 2004 LS-1 C-5 engine.I also have a 4L80-E tranny( from a 1998 GMC 2500 4x4) with a stock convertor.I am getting all the accesories with the engine including harness. My question is about the harness and computer. Can I use the harness and just change the plug so it works with the tranny? Or is there more to it than that. Also can I just reprogram the computer for the rear end gears and tire diameter so the speedometer reads correct. Should I change up the convertor since everything is out and if so what stall should I go to? Any other help would be a bonus.

Default

You can modify the harness to work. You will need to add in the input speed sensor wires and move a couple pins in the round plug. Then you will need a segment swap done to the pcm to have the engine/trans combo programmed correctly. Speedo calibration is easily adjusted in the pcm.
