Need answers b4 buying a ws6
We checked a white ws6 last night , this is the vin 2G2FV22G622102698
I checked the vin on the net and it said : 2002 PONTIAC/FIREBIRD FORMULA/TRANS AM/5.7L V8 PFI OHV
So ? what do you think ?? how come it says formula while the car looks ws6 ? did he turn it to ws6 by changing the hood and spoiler !! i dont know
the car is clean and completely stock , how much a fair price for it ?

Its just the same for the camaros. If its an SS the vin will decode as a z28 because the ss cars start as a z28. Check the RPO code list and it will confirm ws6 or not.

Yeah the Vin numbers do not differentiate between Formula or Trans Am it merely identifies a V8 Firebird or a V6 Firebird.
BTW the correct RPO's to look for are
WS9 = Formula conversion or V8 equipped Firebird
W66 = Formula Merchandise Pkg
Y82 = Trans Am Merchandise Pkg
WS6 = Special Performance Pkg
WS9 + W66 = Formula
WS9 + Y82 = Trans Am

Mine says firebird formula on the title but is a real ws6, look for rpo code ws9 and should be followed by code ws6. And another easy way to tell is look at factory tire size if it says 17's it's a ws6, if it says 16's it's not
