well, made for a good start to the new season....they shut the track down at 1:30 cause there just wasnt enough cars...but we got a raincheck to come back, which was sweet for me because I had to leave at 2ish to go to work anyways.
...happy to say that I upped last years best by about .15 of a second.
Best run and new personal best:
60'.... 1.944
330'... 5.698
1/8... 8.832
MPH... 78.03
1000... 11.562
1/4... 13.870
MPH... 97.72
I finally picked up a few mph as well...I know I can do better if I work on my tune a little more. And I guess I should throw this out there....the tune I was running on was a SD MAP tune on hp tuners, no Maf at all ...so for those people who keep saying VE tuning can't be done....it holds my fastest time. It still has tons of room for improvement though.
Alright, heres a link to my two vids for the day.

^^ this one is a solo run, and is my 13.87 run.
http://www.facebook.com/v/418444335729
^^ this video is my favorite...I absolutly dominate an integra...and I let out half way down the track and coasted across the finish line.
I ran 14.6@ 77 mph... I didnt take into account the slicks would slow my shift down, so the car didnt want to shift out of 2nd gear...I let off the throttle and didnt bother to get on it any more...plus I was still inhaling the burnout smoke lol. This run made my day though...to let off half way down the track, and still beat him by 4.67 seconds...
on a side note...is there any way to prevent that burnout smoke from getting in the car? It was just pouring in the vents....

Sounds like you had a good day!
Sorry I didn't make it. My trailer brakes are giving me trouble.
How was the track prep?

was alright...they rewired the box and crap at 11 and didnt finish until 12:30ish...that was kind of annoying....then they shut the track down at 1:30 because there was only like 10 cars...gave us a rain check.
Prep was ok, I spun a tad on one run, but it was probably because I didn't burn out long enough.
I felt bad for a cobalt there...after everyone stood around and froze our balls off for an 1.5 hours waiting for them to finish maintenance, this cobalt lined up, took off and didnt go more then 2 feet...snapped an axle :D

I was down at the track that day, but over on the road course side ... I was surprised how many people weren't there, considering how nice of a day (lack of rain anyway) it was! A little on the chilly side to be standing around (the wind sucked) but sunny enough that I got a bit of a wind/sun burn! :D
I had thoughts of popping over and doing a pass or two, but I was having way too much fun drifting my car around the corners on the road course!! :)
EDIT: I was there with my black 2002 Z28, not the '93 in my signature.

haha...I bought the v6 as my first car...I love it too much to sell it, and I am too familiar with it now. Plus, 3.8 engines are cheap as hell to replace, and the performance you can get out of them is pretty damn good. For the money I paid for the car plus mods, I am still sitting at less then what it would cost me to get a v8, and running more or less the same 1/4 times (13.8).... my added advantage is that I got the sound I want out of the car, and I've had some fun getting my hands dirty in the motor. Funny thing is, I went from buying the car and knowing absolutly nothing about motors (I had a hard time installing my CAI, to doing almost all the work myself and with a few friends on the car....the cam swap, K member swap, tore the rear end down, etc, etc, etc...I can't complain.
Actually cartuning has a new turbo kit out for us, goes on a stock motor, all you have to do is upgrade your fuel pump...it comes with everything else...there is a guy on here from toronto to that is making 400rwhp with this kit...I was talking to the cartuning guys at the track (two of them were there for a bit)...had me thinking, but I kinda want to stay N/A...I may go to a more aggressive cam in the future...there is some guys running around doing 12.3 cam only...so definetly plenty of fun to be had with the v6 :D
And do you mean how far is mississauga from the track? its maybe 40 mins away depending on where you are in mississauga.

I kept seeing your car everytime I made a pass and was on my way back!...track officals said that there was a lineup to the gate the weekend before...I guess the snow that fell for that 10 minutes friday afternoon scared everyone off...

Sucks that they shut things down for you guys, but at least you didn't have to wait in a long line to run again! :D

thats one of the main reasons I hate going down when there is bracket racing...although I was thinking of maybe jumping into a class if I can for only 1 weekend...we'll see, I need to read into it all more.

tracks open every weekend now...not sure when I'll be there next though, hopefully soon though.
edit: since everyone keeps telling me my fb link doesnt work....here's one run from saturday....I let out half way because the car didnt shift from second (forgot to adjust the trans tables to account for the taller slick, it was reading about 18km/h too slow)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obqP6Prg04k
