Default Cut out or not

Ok guys, I got a 2000 WS6 A4. Just got my headers and a off road y. I was wondering what would others do in this sittuation. I am thinking about buying a 3in electric cut out and putting it in the I pipe. I have the stock cat back. I want to buy the bassani true duals, but they are a little pricy. I was goin to go the cheap route and do the cut out till I can afford the cat back I want. It has a flowmaster muffler on it. Will the exhaust shop be able to put the 3in. cut out on my stock exhaust since the stock exhaust is I think 2.25in. Any and all input welcome. Thanks.

Stock exhaust (i-pipe) is 2.75". A 3" cutout will work just fine.

Hell yes, go with a cutout. It was the first mod I did to my car, and it sounded much meaner afterwards.

A manual cutout is even cheaper, from $30-50, depending on the shop, but of course you'd have to crawl under the car to swap the plate on/off.

Go for it. Electric or manual either way there is a decent amount of power in putting one on. Especially with the factory catback on the car, you should pick up a solid 10-15 if not more. We have them on the shelf if you need one!
