Should get more out of it when the 416 is broken in, currently youre making same power as my stock "broken in" block with same mods + ported intake.

nice. it must be great to drive.

What ?

He should make 10-20 more horsepower when the motor is broken in. I made the same numbers with stock displacement only additional modification was a ported stock intake and a more aggressive cam. My motor had decent number of miles on it as well at the time. Made 489rwhp with 300 miles on the motor and made 507rwhp after 800 miles. Numbers were corrected for SAE. Would post up a dyno sheet, but currently in Germany and dont have a sheet on hand.

I want going to say this but my stock ci Ls3 is making 542 to the wheels in my Camaro. I still cant find a reason to buy one of these stroker kits when they dont seem to make any more power then a stock ci motor.

does the car have stock heads? what size cam?

Damn, you have any headwork done? I think I'd pick up maybe 20-25 with heads but not enough to get 542...

all it has in it is a cam...
it's making about 120 more HP to the wheels then my cam only LS3 was making....
Yes it's a definant increase in HP, but the Torque is what I am liking...
and why must you crap on everyones ride...
I've read about your car, your flame war with LMR..
I'm happy for you..
didnt once say in one of your threads that your numbers where BS... an you come into my thread, and the first thing out the bytes from your Keyboard is...my car makes 542 on a stock bottom end...
I'm glad..
what mods you got???
all I have is a stroker kit and a cam...
intake, heads, and a few other things, and I am beyond your 542
to the wheels... but it's not that important to me to have the biggest set on here.. I have much better things to do...
I did the whole mine makes more HP, Mine is quicker than yours all it does, is create animosity towards you...

a word of advise... (friendly advise) Be humble..
:)
It goes along way..
if some one says something nice about your car. say thanks and leave it at that...
no need to rub it in, or point out to everyone else what you are making...

I've said enough....:soapbox: I will get down now

Flame me if you want..... I dont care...

Good result there mate it sounds awesome, It's all about midrange torque with these strokers not peak HP !!! Peak power means shit it's average torque that wins races and what you really want in a tough streeter. My 418 goes in tomorrow  and hoping for similar result as yours with well ported heads, cam, LT's, Nick Williams 92 TB etc etc.

Don't worry about anyone criticising your ride there mate I think it's perfect and would have a 2010 Camaro in a heartbeat. My car however is quite a bit lighter.

cheers

nice results IMO

I'm sure these others at 500+ rwhp stock cube motors have far less midrange power/tq, so be happy with what you have man.

note :I'm not knocking OrangeChevyII or Jeramey in any way since they both have setups making good power.

We just did a 416 L92 based motor with stock unported Ls3 intake and made 482 rwhp through a 4L60E/9" rearend.

I'm sure with an intake swap you will see some good gains and then you always have heads to swap for more power.

good luck with the project

Wow, I didn't mean to rub you the wrong way. I was just saying I dont see any reason to go bigger, you kinda took it to a whole new level.

As far as your LMR comment goes, I finaly had a chance to meet with Steven a couple of weeks ago. He's a pretty cool guy, leave it at that.

Since your off your soap box get back on it and tell me why you felt like I was bashing your car. My car made the same power as yours without the heads and intake/tb. You said it makes a 120 more rwhp before the stroker swap vs cam only ls3.

It's about power under the curve I know, I know. We will see what a stroker does with a real top end on it and not the stock stuff soon enough.

Untill then.......

Guess I was in a bad mood that day..
I'm over it..
no reason to beat a dead horse..lol
It's all good.
I said what I said.. If I took it the wrong way, I apologize.
but what was said cant be taken back even if I delete the thread..

I was finally able to scan the dyno sheet..
so you can see the power curve..:)

Nice numbers! I'm a little confused when you said that your car is making 120 more hp at the wheels than your cam-only stock CI LS3. Does their dyno read extremely low because nearly every cam/bolt-on LS3 that I've seen makes over 450 at the wheels?

I didnt dyno mine before the bigger cubed motor, but from what I have been seeing, with the cam only cars, is about 400 to the wheels..

But every dyno is different ... the true test will come out at the track if I ever make it out there.. :)

Looks good, especially the torque buddy. You're a little off on your cam only numbers tho... Mine made about 420 at the wheels EXHAUST only and untuned. Currently running 475 rwhp with just the cam, cold air, headers and exhaust. Next up will be heads and as soon as I save up the cash, a Kenne Bell. Are you planning on swapping heads?

Plan on swapping heads in the future.

man that things loud, wonder what itll run??

My guess is somewhere in the 11's.. Probably mid 11's
wont know until I get a beefed up set of Half shafts... not going to chance snapping the stock ones at the track... :(

How long did you leave your car there at gforce just asking cause im would like to know the turn around time on something like this. Having a forged motor built installed and tuned . A few days a few weeks or a few months .

nice numbers, i'm glad to see more stroker builds.

I've got 2 buddies that took theirs apart at 700 miles and one did a 427 ls3, other a 440 ls7.

the 427 made 516 rwhp but was on a stock fuel system, and even though we warned him, he eventually granaded it on the interstate via fuel pressure drop. I'm guessing it would have made 20 more or so on a good pump.

the other was only street tuned to drive on the power tour with a boost a pump (got 24mpg) I will tune it soon, waiting on twin in tanks and injectors.

Your looking at 4 - 8 weeks.. depending on the work load, and available parts @ HKE.
It took 6 weeks, but that wasnt G-Force, that was the engine builder wait time.
HKE was waiting on a custom crank that they use for their stroker motors
G-force had the engine for all of about 3 days..
1 day to pull it,
1 day to install it
and 1 day to tune it.
nice numbers, i'm glad to see more stroker builds.

that sucks on the 427..
one of the reasons I went with the smaller stroker.. to big, and you get into fueling and reliability issues..

right now I get about 24MPH on the highway..
around town.. well thats a different story

Wow man, I am digging the sound of that cam! I am building a 415 (might do a 425) with WCCH L92 stg3 heads and LS3 intake. Right now I am looking for a used cam, but it looks like I might have to bite the bullet and get a new one (I'm in med school so $$$ is tight). I really would like a PatG spec, but I'm liking the numbers that your stick is putting out, plus it has the sound I'm looking for too. If you don't mind me asking, what are the specs on your cam? PM me if needed, thanks Bro!

500 rhwp stock displacement ls3 vs 500 rwhp 416 or 427 stroked ls3 equals ass kicking....Might make the same peak horsepower but that low end torque and low rpm power is badass....Same power but way faster! Bigger Faster Stronger! Makes me wish i did the bottom end on my vette.........:(

car sounds nasty, and the color combo is badass! I wish i could afford one of these right now....

I wish someone would try a Victor Jr l92 setup on these, maybe with an elbow or a top mount TB.....

I got a stock cube 6.0L with mild port L92's 242 246 custom grind cam. shitty GMPP l92 intake and an ultra low profile elbow 90mm tb and it made over 600 at the flywheel. Yeah its a little REV happy, but it gets my 3800lb camaro down the track in the 10's with a 6speed.

but its something my engine builder and tuner would like to try on these.... but no one has came to us yet wanting a setup like that.
