rule of thumb, IMO, stay away from flat for pretty much anything appearance related. flat just looks unfinished/faded/not well-kept up...

the black i used was Dupli-colors Auto black paint. which is meant to have a glossy finish like a stock paint job when wetanded/buffed, but right out of the can it has a semi-gloss finish. i really like the way it came out. i'd definitely recommend using either satin, semi-gloss, or gloss paint (anything but flat) semi-gloss and gloss look the best, IMO, because they have the deepest black look to them, and for this mod, i think that works best

a few decent shots of the headlighst here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...ing-shots.html

well i ended up doing dupli color flat black, and it came out pretty good, it's almost like a satin black... i think it came out very good, im in the middle of wet sanding the head lights and going to get a friend to help me buff them, im still learning how to buff and stuff... ill post up pics this friday after this is all done and a nice wash clay bar and wax.
