Default SJM ABS delete and line lock

Ordering them up but whats the difference between the hurst style and regular??? Also why is the Hurst LL so much more expensive when the regular LL kit added to the abs delete is only a few bucks more??

Is the Hurst kit worth it? What do you all run??

I got the Hurst linelock on mine but only cause I got a good deal on it. Besides cosmetics all line locks essentially do the same thing. I couldn't imagine one brand is truely THAT much better than the next. They're all just solenoids that hold your brake pressure.

I have the plain kit, not the hurst one. Works great! Can't see the need to order the hurst one man, just get the plain kit.

Oh and just an FYI, get it without the flaring tool. You can rent a flaring tool at Autozone.

I got the regular SJM LL/ABS delete kit. No need to spend the $ on Hurst.

i got the delete and LL non hurst style. Haven't gotten it on the car yet, i called SJM and they pretty much said it cost them more for the hurst so they sell it more. Aka your paying extra for the name haha.

It's not bad to install, I did it while the engine was out of the car which mad it alot easier to get in there with the flare tool cause I could sit on the k-member and do it

I didn't take any pics during the install, but you can see the finished product in this pic:

Thanks guys! I like the looks of the black solenoid but would rather spend the cash on something else so Basic kit it is! Funny Ive been racing for ever and never used a LL on my cars. My brakes hate my cheap ***. lol

Nice Colin, I haven't seen the kit installed on an LT1 before. My kit is supposed to arrive today. I went with the SJM style kit, didnt want to spend the extra bux. Also ordered the braided brake lines too as the pedal feel on my car is really poor.

Oh for sure ^^^^ and being a M6 brake torques suck and you cant get the tires spinning fast enough to heat the tires good. After 15 yrs Ill break down and stop being a cheap ***.

I wish that were true, but the car has come along way in 2 years. So far so good.

I don't think the ABS light can be tuned out. I just pulled the bulb behind the cluster on mine.

do you have to replace the lines ( braided ) coming out of the block or do you tie right into them?
