Default 2010 camaro exhaust options???

I have 2010 Camaro 2SS. I love the car, but want a deeper sound from the exhaust. I do not want to void my warranty, so please don't mention headers. I am thinking about cut outs??? Best of both worlds??? Or should I look at a GHL, Borla, Corsa, ect... Thanks for your advice.

I'm pretty positive a cut out would void your warranty. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure others will chime in on that.

1) delete the rear mufflers... a few places sell ready made pipes with tips...
2) buy the GM or someones axle back exhaust...

Corsa always seemed to be the coolest sounding exhaust but the price is up there. Magnaflow has a good sound, little louder then stock and a decent price. SLP has some nice options, their loud mouth exhaust is cheap and loud if that's what your looking for. PM me for a good deal. New sponser in town trying to get some customers and help out a fellow ls1tech user.

He stated he doesn't want to void his warranty. Deleting mufflers won't help with that.

The warranty only applies to the part you replace. Any cat-back or axle-back will not void your power train warranty. They won't cover your exhaust any more though obviously. Headers are a gray area, but any other exhaust mod is fine. I like the stainless works aggressive set-up myself.

GM themselves sell an axle back exhaust for them, so whats the difference who's it is, or even if it has mufflers in it, its just an axle back exhaust, it can't void the warranty, except on the exhaust itself that was replaced...

I wasn't referring to a bolt on axle-back. I was referring to the cut out and muffler delete.
I know that you can bolt your stock exhaust right back on. Using a GM exhaust wouldn't matter as well and it would be warranted.

Speaking from first hand experience, first mod I did was Magnaflow's 2.5" competition series catback: it sounded great! No droning on the highway, but nice and loud when you step on it. Got it for $666 shipped

Any thoughts on the ghl??? I also have a c5 and they sound great on the vette, but I have lg longtubes too. Magnaflow so far is my second choice, but not sure how they sound without headers. I appreciate your thoughts.

You also have the mrbp exhaust. It would be one of my other choices besides corsa.

Go to joe blow muffler shop and have them cut out the stock mufflers and weld in straight pipes using the stock tips. It sounds great, not to loud and not too quiet. Its pretty much the same thing as the rippoff SLP loudmouth exhaust for probably $300 less.

gm performance exhaust is made by borla which are cheaper, thats what i have and they have a nice deep tone. if you ever drive a 2010 camaro with headers you will probably change your mind about getting some it makes a world of difference, from mild to wild and they dont void your warranty. here's a clip of mine, ARH headers with borla stingers;

My step dad has Doug Throley shorties and muffler delete on his 2SS/RS. Warranty wasn't voided. He made sure it wouldn't be voided before changing them. It sounds good.

that sounds great and very clean install. i understand wanting to keep stock manifolds but there's 30 something horsepower to be had with headers which is a kick in the butt dyno and add a cai and tune you get about 50 hp that equals a night and day difference in performance. i like the cutouts and will add them to my future mods for sure.

Doug Thorley Short Tube 50 State legal and the Doug Thorley Catback system is your best bang for the buck period.

Catback with STOCK manifolds clip:

Another Clip of just the Long Tubes on my (at the time) STOCK car with STOCK Catback:

I'd put this combo up against anything for the money anywhere.

PM me if you have any questions about it or need more info!

It's pretty much a proven fact that Shorties on LSx motors only give negligible power gains if any over stock manifolds.

If you listen to the clip in my signature, that's just a cam, full stock exhaust with the exception of SLP Loudmouth muffler delete pipes. I have full exhaust with no cats now, but don't have any clips yet.
