Default Catted Kooks with resonator and muffler delete.

Anyone running this setup?

I really would love to hear an exhaust clip of this.

Cheers and thanks!

Exactly what I am running after this weekend... however my only video camera is on my cell phone. I have never had a good reason to buy a nice video camera..... sorry.

I am tempted to change out the resonator for an x-pipe.....

I'll try it... I just know cell phones do the noise cancel thing. Maybe I can get a hold of my crazy ex... she loved her video cameras.

I just did the muffler delete Monday and love the sound. I was tempted to get a set of Random Tech cats as I dont want the sewing machine sound of LT's. I would like to hear this setup as well.

Would be great if you could even get it on your phone Yeqon, I'm not sure if you're doing an x-pipe or not. But I'm specifically looking for one with the resonator(personally think it sounds the best).

Nice! Im a fan of no cats and X pipe instead of resonator.

I cant afford the LT's i want right now but im wondering what it would sound like if i cut the cats off and ran stock manifolds, no cats, X and did a muffler delete on my magnaflow catback. Basically all straight with an X pipe...

i did cats due to the visual inspection for emissions and im over the loud cars, my 98 SS was stock manifolds with o/r ypipe and SLP loudmouth, sounded sick for a while, but it got obnoxious(it did turn heads though) lol......i want the V to sound like it does now just a tad louder and i think l/t's, stock resonator, and muffler delete will sound good but too loud, thats why i ordered magnaflow 14416's

Is that the same part number for the muffs they use in the mag catback? My car has a mag catback on it and thought it comes with an X in place of the stock resonator, with my cats, its almost as quiet as stock. Im going to cut the cats first and see if it wakes up a bit but if not, ill have to either switch to a louder muffler that will give me the volume i want or elminate the muffs all together...

they are also called magnapacks, they are round and 14" long. more of a bullet style but not as quiet as yours.

Oh ok... ive seen other members replace their magnaflows with those in the catback. They sound much better than the ones i have now!

Im still considering mac flowpaths or spintechs though. The flowmaster super 44's sound awesome too but drone bad from what ive heard. I assume those magnapacks are similar to the dynomax bullets. Ive run bullets on a few of my cars and they sound great but they aren't stainless...

I've got a cammed LS6 w/ kooks, kooks cats, and electronic cutouts to borlas if they're closed...but no video camera. I'm in Austin if someone wants to get a clip of it. With the cutouts open it's awesome.

Edit: There's an X pipe somewhere in there too.

I've had more loud cars than I need. And motorcycles for that matter(my stunt bike was retarded loud).

Just like the muffler delete, I have a feeling if I get the kooks 1 7/8, hi-flow cats+resonator with a muffler delete, and get a good video of it. That some people will probably follow.

Link to what it sounds like on stock exhaust with a muffler delete.

Cheers!
