Default anybody ever buy from this guy?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Paint...Q5fAccessories

he has good feedback. seems kind of cheap. you can pick any color you want. i got a quote from a body shop to repaint my bumper and a hood for over 1k. the paint is falling off from battle damage...2 deer, a tree, (long story). i cant afford to paint it. ive searched through salvage yards for a white bumper with no luck. it would be so much cheaper to find another bumper cover already painted. then i can get my hood later.

so i was thinking if i get one of these cheap ones and it has a decent paint job, i can sell my old one and get some of my money back. opinions?

Wow that's really cheap. Wonder if he can fill the holes in before painting too.

For that price, I would buy and let us know! My bumper cover has 3 marks on it, and I think in labor time it will cost more to repair than what this guy is charging, even with shipping.

Don't expect the paint to match perfectly. They can paint with the code you give them, but they won't be able to adjust for paint variance, aging/fading, etc.

I'm leery about someone color matching a metallic paint for that cheap.

i asked him about the color matching issue and he said:

We have an excellent paint matching system from BASF which takes into effect each year the car was painted. I think that you will be more than pleased with the our product. If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to ask.
what is basf? my paint is in pretty good shape. as long as its not a huge difference it wont bother me. on his feedback alot of people are satisfied with the paint it seems.

that's bullshit, because how does he/she know if you have garage kept it since day 1 or if you've been road racing it every weekend? Paint matching is only legit when the painter sees the paint's condition first hand.

well i messaged him and said my paint was in generally good shape thats it. its true though theres just no way to know. i guess the fading guide he is talking about is just a generic way to take paint aging into account.

i mean just have it painted... no worries. just compound and polish the rest of your car's paint to brilliance and it'lll match up perfectly fine.

I wouldn't get that bumper, that is an aftermarket bumper and I am willing to bet that it will not line up right. Good luck either way

If it were me I would probably go for it, they sound like they would fix or resend if something was off (what they said anyway).

Also, my car isn't a show car so as long as it looked a little better than it does now, I'm cool with that.
