Default 17x8's or 17x10's up front?

the wheels i am going to get either come in 17x8 or 17x10. i am going with the 17x10's in back but not sure about the front. i would have done 17x9.5 all the way around but now i don't know. any pros and cons for the 17x8's for up front?

TIA
jason

The more you fill the wheel well the better it will look, just curious, why were you thinking smaller up front?

i want to be as light as possible but yet keep it looking good. if it looks good with the 17x8's compared to the 17x10's then i would probably go that rought for weight savings.

I wouldn't go any wider than 9.5 in the front. You just start running into tire/wheel well contact questions.

Also the wider the tire, the more it's gonna want to track every rut and groove in the road AND you are adding unnessecary strain on your power steering pump. How much? Who knows but I don't see wider being better for street purposes.

I think the 17x8's would work great. Cheaper tires too! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
