Default What 12 bolt to get and why

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a 12 bolt rear for my camaro vut I do not know what brand to get and why.

I want 3.42s gears in mine with no whining and want one that will be close to a direct drop in with no fabbing or extras to get it in. in your opinion what is a better rear and why (taking money out of the equation )

No matter which 12 bolt you go with, Noise will increase. Even if you have a local guy set the gears, they all tend to get noiser later.

As for which to get. At this point from my exp I woul opt for a 9" at this point and screw the whole 12 bolt concept. If I were to pick one, there are newer ones on the market and the Moser unit I do not like all that much due to not having holes that go from top to bottom for the TQ arm bolts and a aftermarket TQ arm like a BMR need to be cut to fit correctly. as it has 2 different sets of holes and the casting is not friendly for BMR.

Even has little tabs welded on the axle tubes in oem locations to hang your brake lines and abs wires...

Moser gets a bad rep cause of how the TQ ARM MOUNTS. But its not a bad rear. Ive seen equal problems out of all to include the nine inch. The S60 may be considered overkill but is a better option. It is more efficient to drive and depending on style of gear and properly set up it will the best. I have a Moser 12 bolt and NEVER had a hardware problem with three different brands of TQ arms. The Wave Trac is now available for it and what I hear is better for drag racing. The strange is very nice to just a long wait at times. And does also have the tabs for brake lines. But as for a more dirrect less fabb rear the Strange.

In terms of 12-bolts definetly the Strange. I've heard enough bad things about the Moser 12-bolt that I'd never buy one.

I'm very happy with my Strange 12-bolt. Installed like a stock part, and it isn't very noisy. If you want a Tru-Trac I think you're out-of-luck though. I went with an Eaton Posi and I'm very happy with it.

I have zero complaints except that it did take awhile for it to be delivered and it cost more than I thought it would, but now it's not an issue after having it over a year.

I have a Strange 12-bolt. Previous owner installed it. Runs great! Torque arm mounting and brake and sensors brackets are nice. Only problem is the different carrier series when changing gears, but companies do sell 3-4 conversions without having to swap carriers.
