Looks good, but it is kinda hard to tell from that far away...a close-up pic would be nice.

On my V I bought a piece of vinyl and cut it to fit in the flag area in the V emblems and inside the crest of the Caddy emblems. Looks great on my black car IMO, and took me $6 and about 30 minutes with a hobby knife to black out all of the emblems on my car. Plus I can remove it if I get bored with it. If you ask me black where the chrome is would look pretty cool on your car.

sweet. but im thinking of using some good spray paint. i think it would hold up well with a good prep job. so all the chrome will be black and the whole flag would be all silver. what you think?

I think black emblems with silver flags on a silver car would look good. It's basically the opposite of what I have (chrome emblems with black flags on a black car). It really helps the letter V in the emblem stand out.

That's what I did, as well as the Cadillac emblems. It takes a square foot of vinyl at most. Fortunatley there is a small indention around the colored part of the emblems, so you can lay the vinyl over it, then trim to fit using a hobby knife in the groove. I'm looking for something to put in the large emblem in the front, like a Punisher skull or a Guy Fawkes mask from V for Vendetta. Who knows I might just leave it black though.

ok, so i may try this on my next day off...yikes, kinda nervous.lol. the main reason i am doing this is because one of my flags seems to have condensation inside it. or at least thats what it looks like. it really bothers me. if i dont like the way they turn out i think i will just get these Z06 badges and isntall them in place of the V embelms. whatcha think?

Yeah I agree. I wouldn't do those badges. Most people wouldn't get it. Hell most people still din't know what a V series Cadillac is. I still get plenty of shocked responses when I tell them my car is a six speed manual with a LS6. Then I typically have to explain what a LS6 is.

ferny,

I actually like the way the black V-emblem turned out.

On another note, don't install Z06 emblems on your Cadillac, it is NOT a Z06, it just happens to have a Z06 motor. I hate it when people install emblems on their car that don't actually relate to the car.

If you like those emblems, CAR motorsports sells the LS6 version of them which would be fine to put on your car.
