Default What Intake/TB Combo?

I have a stock 98 LS1 engine, and i plan on keeping it stock with no heads or cam due to my 135xxx miles. At the earliest, 3 or 4 years from now i'll get a stroker to replace it, but for now i'd like to get the best intake manifold and throttle body combo for the stock motor i have now. I just want the best bolt ons i can get. I know to go with FAST for the manifold, but which one would work the best on my stock motor? 78, 90, 92, 102? Should i get the FAST TB to go with the manifold as well?

Most here will tell you either LS6 or Fast...all depends on how big your pocketbook is...Theres also the alum. intakes if you want a different look and cant swing a Fast. BBK,Typhoon, Weiand...If you want the most HP fast all the way. I believe the only one avail now is the 102 through the vendors...you still might beable to find a few 92's hanging around or used. As far as throttle bodys any 90mm or above will work.

I have 156,000 miles and I'm rockin' all kinds of mods. MS3 cam, LS6 heads, Ported tb, Pacesetter LT's, ORY, SLP cat back...etc. She's running strong! Though, for your intake and TB combo I will have to agree with monmouth

Considering it sounds like you will not mod the motor past bolt-ons, IMO it would be a waste to go with anything but LS6 intake and like a stock ported and polished TB... based on what I have read here anyway.

He said he wants the best bolt ons...even on a bolt on car a ported fast will make considerbly more then a LS6 so it wont be a waste.
