Default What kind of fuel cell is everyone using?

Im about to do my fuel system on my turbo project and i want to get an idea on what size or where i should mount it, my plan was to cut the hole where the t-tops go and welding a flat piece of metal i could fit a 13" deep x 35" wide x 15" high tank if i cut the t-top hole

If you drive it on the street you will want a reasonably big tank. At 12 gal and say 12 mpg then you have 144 mi. between fill ups. That isn't that far but should be plenty. I would think if you fill the entire area up you have available you could fit 16 plus gal. A sumped tank doesn't weigh much by it's self so you have to weigh 2-3 pounds vs. more capacity.

You have room for 47 plus gallons. There are plenty of options on summit racing 8-12and 16 gallon all easy fits in your area.

We run 5 gal on most of the strip cars. We put them in the T top well and use a bulkhead. I can get a Chiseled AL tank in about any size you need.

Why did you bump? You have a few ideas. Not many guys run cells from what I see. Most use the stock tank and add as many intank pumps as they need.

Im doing the same thing, cutting out the ttop well and welding a flat plate across the mounting a 5 gal Summit fuel cell and the battery box with a bulkhead.
