Talk to Patrick G about a custom spec'd cam.
AFR 215 (milled for min. of 11:1 compression)
Fast 92mm
American Racing headers
4" Mufflex system or 3" Duals
150 TNT F2 kit w/ Nano
The real question is do you want to keep the stock bottom end or do you want to open it up for forged/stroked parts?
If you do i would consider a 408 build and jump up to
11-11.5:1 compression
CNC L92 heads
102mm intake (possibly ported)
ARH big primary headers
custom cam like before

The only thing with the L92 heads on a stock LQ9 is the huge valves limit cam size, and the pistons need to be flycut for anything serious. (assuming you keep the stock bottom end)

This is the cam I was going to go with before I changed my direction to FI:
223/231 .610/.617 113LSA +4 advance using Comp LSL lobes
Here is the link to a thread by Pat G detailing the results with that cam (dynograph is posted):
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...p-446rwtq.html
Great looking power curve! You could vary the cam a little to pick up some more top end power while giving up a little low end torque.

Damn those are good numbers. I would have milled them, ported the MAF/intake, went to a 100mm lid, and used LT's with 3" catted Y-pipe and a 4" mufflex system. That would put you EASILY in the upper 400's. (~475-485)
I wanna see someone break 500hp with one of these combos. Damn that got me drooling over building the 6.0 i have laying in the garage. Imagine all the people you would **** off with such a basic low dollar build.

LS3/L92 heads w/ rockers - ~$500-$600
LS3 intake manifold w/ ruel rail and injectors - ~$300-$400
90mm TB - ~$390 (Holley 90mm TB)
Valvesprings - ~$275-$300 (PRC or Patriot dual spring kit)
Pushrods - ~$90-$100
Cam - ~$400
Headers - ~$700 (used SS AR or Kooks 1 7/8" headers)
Heads/Cam gasket kit - ~$245-$280
LS2 Timing Chain - ~$40
Ported Oil Pump - ~$150
Tune - ~$500
That is a nice rough estimate for you...
