Default Want to learn to make carbon fiber parts

I am very interesting in learning to make my own carbon fiber parts but don't know much about the subject. I know its very similar to fiberglass but I want to be able to do it right. I found a website that sells kits to make molds and other kits to make the actual carbon fiber parts but I have never heard of this company. Has anyone had any experience with these guys or ever used their kits? The site is http://www.eastbaycomposites.com/.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks!

Im no expert on the subject, but most people I know that make CF parts use a vacuum forming process. I dont know exactly how it works, just know that is how most CF parts are made.

A vacuum form is for getting out all the air bubbles and to compress the cf together. A cheap way to do it, is to put the part in a bag and hook up a vacuum to it to suck all the air out, the pressure will compress the cf making it stronger.
