Default Z06 vs M6

Well, I finally got my in clutch in. I'm ready for killing time!!! I went with an RPS Twin Carbon Steel. Its AMAZING...

I'm particularly going after 3 GTR's in my area but I settled for one of DFW's top dog M6's.

When I asked my camera man why he didn't keep recording, he kindly said, "whats the point".

I had about 6 cars from 50-150...

Sorry, the shots and footage was from a cell.

Nice Kill on a very nice car !!

No engine mods, just brakes and suspension?

What kind of power do the M6's make.

Thanks guys! O ya, the M6 also had intake (which was like 2k) ha.

That M6 is fast, look:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjn8wYGZBC4

I REALLY have issues towards some local **** talker GTR owners. My biggest arch Nemesis is going to have like 650-750AWHP on Race fuel...

The local 600AWHP GTR guys don't want to run me...but they can run 10.65 in 1/4....HA. Thats fast...

I still think I can take him with my 480/450, maybe, only due to the fact I weigh almost 1000lbs less + sticky tires + driver mod. I want a 1st gear punch....

SO, to ensure everything, I might just have to buy a cam!

What do you guys think? Can I sail away from a 700hp GTR on the highway?

The tires are irrelevant since the GTR is AWD, unless he has stock tires on the car I don't think he'll spin much. I also doubt 1000lbs less is enough to make up a 200+hp deficit. Driver mod doesn't mean much from a roll either. Not to be a dick but I think you'll get walked pretty bad.

650-750AWHP GTR is gonna be sick you'll need atleast 580rwhp maybe more...

Here is my advice I drove 4-6 GTRs R35 the worst sport for them is either 30mph (end of 1st gear and begining of 2nd ) or 60mph beginning of 3rd

If you can get traction then go with 30mph roll for sure....

Search SLOW VETTE on streetfire his Intake/tune C6 ZO6 is faster than GTR with HKS 570 Kit (530-560awhp on pump gas and 600awhp)

They raced from 60 to 140mph CZO6 won by 2 cars and the faster they went the more the Vette pulled ...

Get it on video..

I think different.

I need to clarify better. My Z has a weight reduction and a weight reduction on un-sprung weight.

Un-sprung Weight differences
DIET
No traction issues, aka, bad *** tires.
SUPER nice suspension.

I don't peel out, I just go.

So, that being said. After adding power mods. You have a "different" animal.

I do think I will need some more power but I still think I can get him from a 30 roll.

So, you suggest 30 or 60 huh, thats funny, I was think the same thing!!!! hehe...

Guys, I already said "f*** it" I THINK I am going H/C before the race and more weight reductions. Stupid GTR owners...

I F'N hate GTR's...hate them!

You say they run 10.6 at the track but from a roll my be a different story. They may be faster than you think. I run a 10.6 at the track with 480/435 which is just a little less than you.

Better cam it up and work on intake and exhaust.

I bet you can shift...which is the MAIN reason you hit 10.66. I'm basing my confidence on my shifting and traction. If I screw those up, I'M DONE.

What tire are you running at 10.66?

Otherwise, I have to agree, I better H / C.

actually I have never power shifted this car since I put in the new motor. I got tired of fixing the tranny and diff. Just quick shift as fast as possible with a deep throw of the clutch. I run ET Streets and skinny's at the track.

I'm just saying that from a dig, driver skill is the most important thing. But from a 40+ roll, hp to weight is a bigger factor than driver skill to a point. One you hit the big hp numbers, wheel spin takes over again and driver skill once again can become the most important thing. Hopefully.... you are racing the 600+ hp boys and they have severe traction troubles on the street !

Good luck man, report back and also take some vids for us !!

Ah...

The GTR is AWD and has minimal traction issues. Its going to hook and go....

That being said, I will be on my "A" game...

Honestly, I've been nice to my new clutch and I haven't been running it hard. I did a 0-100 yesterday....I'm going to hurt some GTR owners feelings, BAD. Bad...............

And I might be H/C by the time my buddies GTR is finished.

NOT that I would need it...I still think my set up will work just fine. WE WILL SEE!!! GTR =
