Default fan question

kinda stupid but how can you tell if a fan is a pusher or puller? i put one on the front of my radiator and tried switching the wiring and it seems to blow the same amount either way. does the blade direction affect it? also what if the fan is made as a puller fan only?

i think most fans are not polarity sensitive...meaning they will work both ways...so wire it one way...if it blows then it's a pusher...reverse the leads...it should pull...use a streamer or something to verify...
