LS1 Grille with a Z28 emblem???
I was just wondering when i have been shopping around for a new grille for my 01 Z28.. does any1 make a Z28 Painted finish Black/red Grille insert??? I know they hav the "SS" ones that are black and red, or the Chevy Bowtie.. but what about a Z28?? If any1 could attach a link of any for sale that'd be great!!! Thanks!!
If any1 doesn't know what im talking about they are on SLP.com.. not the carbon, or billet tho.. the painted finish ones.. came stock on my 02 SS that i had.

no.
but, you could always add another emblem to the front instead of the SS or bowtie. just buy a Z28 emblem from emblempros and attach that the grill. there was just someone who posted up a pic of his grill a few days ago, he added a bowtie emblem to an SS grill, and it looked fine.

I was about to do this with the Z28 in red:
Yes, it's an awful ms paint try. Haha
I was talking to emblem pros for a while. I asked for this emblem in custom dimensions, he said he would do it, then said it would look weird with the dimensions I gave him and he stopped communication with me. I was ready to purchase a bunch of **** too. Whatever, his loss..

I put the RKSport grill on about 4 years ago I think...I want to say I paid $75 to have it painted, but I just don't remember for sure....
I do know that at the time, RKSport didn't advertise that you could get their grill without their logo, but when I called and asked, they said they could do it, it would just take a few more weeks for them to have it done, but it was the same price. Even now, the description says the RKSport logo is standard, but the picture doesn't have it. I liked the Wings West grill, but couldn't find one, so the RKSport is pretty much just a clone of it.
I will say that if you go this route, don't get an emblem made of stainless steel or any type of metal. There is a curve to the grill and the emblem will need to able to flex when it's applied. emblempros.com makes their emblems in stainless steel and composite I believe, so the comoposite should work just fine. Or, you could alway have a decal made too...

Very true.. i noticed the curve in the RKsport.. thought to my self if it'd work with a metal.. bcuz if possible.. i would love to hav a stainless steel look, to me its more appealing and stands out then a decal.. but hey you can't always have the best of both worlds!
