Default L92 in a Fairmont questions

I have a very clean 1981 Futura and a low mileage L92/6L80E combo I'd like to put in it.

I have been doing quite a bit of reading on the subject and would like to hear if I have missed any options.

Option one - use an AJE k member for putting an ls1 in a fox, this seems the simplest route but is the AJE a sturdy enough piece for a street car with lots of power? Any quality issues with them?

Option two - use a Maximum motorsports k member for putting a 4.6 in a fox and do some alterations to the stock 4.6 mounts. I like MM's stuff and have useds it in the past.

Pluses on the AJE are you can get off the shelf headers (kooks) to fit.
Not sure off header fitment on the MM piece.

Have I missed any other options? Please share what you have done and how it worked out.

Any one ever try to use one of these transmissions in a fox?

thanks

Matt

ive had the AJE k-member in my car for 4 years and 10,000+ miles and no problems, dont expect to be running SCCA courses or taking highway ramps at 60+mph though.

Good to hear that kind of info on the AJE piece although I do have a heavy foot on highway on ramps....
