So if the LS motors are internally balanced then is there a need to have an aftermarket flywheel and clutch balanced together as a unit or can you have each balanced individually and bolt them up and go? Reason I ask is because I'm getting conflicting data between vendors on the issue. One vendor says they come balanced from the manufacturer whereas the manufacturer says you should have them balanced together as a unit. Specifically could you buy brand X flywheel from one vendor and brand X (notice same brand) clutch from a different vendor and bolt them up and go? I mean the flywheel would be balanced during production as would the clutch (I would think) so why balance them together? I've never done a clutch so I want to ensure I do this right before having to drop everything!
