Lt1 F1R 19 psi boost .... how much timing
Hi i have an Lt1 trans am and i want to run 19 pounds of boost through a procharger F1R. What would be the best timing for that psi? The engine is a 383 lt1 with 9.00 compression. I would appreciate any input. Thank you very much for your assistance.

No two engines are the same, but I would start around 14 degrees at peak torque and go from there. You can add a degree at a time at the track to see if the MPH improves and check the plugs for signs of detonation.
This is assuming you are running good fuel 93oct + meth, or race gas 100+octane.
That will be quite a bit of power to trust pump gas only.

I would have to agree with starting low and working your way up. Things like what type fuel your gonna run and is it intercooled or not would play a roll. Being a lt1 car instead of a ls it will require a few more degrees advance than what you will see them run. Just make sure all your fueling is figured out before you begin playing with timing. Just my .02 cents. 18-22 degrees is where i believe you will end up.
