to my buddies on here.... and everyone eles. i need imput.
so i have had my ws6 for coming up on 5 years now. i bought her with 52k on it now she has 155k. been through 3 trans tons of tires and the car is still nice but its starting to spider crack everywhere its just gettin old and old to me. i was looking around today at vettes and found one close by, its a 99 6 spd with 41k has different wheels and exhaust with heads up display. the guy only wants 10,500 for it. inspected and everything.
WHAT SHOULD I DO. any suggestions. i love my car, but i think it might be time for a change.

you plan on swapping over the MS3 and what you can from the WS6 or starting from scratch. I know for me itd be hard to spend the money on the car and start from square one building another car when I have one that is already decently built up.
Then again it would be fun to go a different route then you have with the old one, turbo or supercharger etc. Thats a sick price on the vette too IMO.

nah, the car would go with the bad *** stereo and everything done. i kinda miss just cruising in the car. being on the highway its all over the place and a shitty ride. its loud. cam isnt street freindly. i think i would go cam but keep it a smooth idle but have it make power and be streetable in the vette and maybe n02 . but keep it reliable. uhhhhgg see where im at lol

yea i hear ya, just count on having 16k or so in the vette within the 1st 6 months. Thing I hate about cars is you always want more and never go with what you originally thought. I bought the V as a quick daily driver with plans of making it look good, now it has a 100 shot and is getting a cam in a few weeks, im installing long tubes next week lol. And im sure by the end of summer ill be wanting heads and a FAST. All of this is with me knowing the worse designed IRS(for a straight line car, great for handling) and diff GM ever made are helping put the power to the ground.

Is the body in good condition? 10.5 seems too good to be true for that low amount of miles. F it man, if its in good shape I'd say buy it. Sell the Camaro & T/A and you will have at least 2/3 of the price for the vette paid for.

if u think its time for a change go ahead and make it. I guess change is a good thing..I'm having a dilema myself. In the middle of rebuilding my motor with forged rods and pistons and like u,,had my car for 5yrs. Now I'm just tired of it and need something new and exciting. After awhile,,u get tired of dumping money into the same car,,and seems like a waste. Now I cant complain ,,my car is in immaculant shape..so I need zero paint work. But its a hard decision to make, atleast for me its been..going through all the different scenarios inside your head of what to do...I guess getting out of the car scene is really the thing to do,,hahahha!!!!!!

The deal sounds too good to be true IMO. I don't know if C5 Vette pricing has dropped off in the past 6 months, but for a C5 w/ less than 100k miles you typically can't touch for less than $15,000 minimum. Definitely make sure you do your research on the car first.
As far as making the change from the WS6 into a Vette, I don't think you'd have any regrets, the Corvette is just a step up from the FBody's period. I don't think you'll see many people who regretted getting rid of an FBody for a C5 or C6. Good luck with what ever decision you make.
