Default Anyone here in TN

I'm looking to find a reputable tuner for my setup when I am finished. Ive been using delk but that was on fords. I might even be up to a mail order tune if there is anyone on here that has a good reputation. Thanks Kris

My setup will be 02 vette ls1 with ls6 intake, ls6 heads, not for sure on the cam, and a tune.

TN is a wide state, but I do have a recommendation if you are eastern/middle part of the state.

Intune Motorsports just north of Cleveland, TN about 3 miles off I-75 in Charleston, TN. Scott's worked on my last vehicle and will tune my SS when I get some cash. I can name 12 ppl who have used him and he does great work. I can't remember if it's a Mustang or Dynojet he uses, but I heard he's REAL **** on getting the tune just right!

http://www.streetperformance.com/par...torsports.html

Everyone in 100 mile radius uses him, including a few guys down in Atlanta!

Yeah, delk......nevermind. I'm pulling the motor out of the vette this week and I have to decide if I'm going heads, cam, tune or I have actually been thinking of one of those gt45 ebay turbos with good supporting hardware, bov, wastgate. Have any of you guys offering your service's ever tuned using one of these turbos?

Thanks Kris

Judging from the pic you posted..( your car )...Why would you ever think of using a E-bay turbo?..There are plenty of sponcers and for sale ads here on tech that will have a far better product for your needs....

You said you are up for Mail tunes, so I'd suggest Mike at Vengeance Racing or tech member FROST. I'd start there and then see what else is available. Best of luck, many people underestimate the value of a quality tuner.

getsum, I no longer have that car. I traded it for my currect project. A factory Five gtm and a 2002 corvette.

I just like exploring my options. Everyone said it would be 5-6 grand for me to supercharger that car and I did it for under $2000. Some people may frown on using used parts but I have no problem with it.

YOu need to get on TNfbody.com son! Theres a TON of great info on there and our group of guys really go outa the way to help. I can vouch for soundengineer, He tuned on a bolt on C5 and a Cam only nitrous camaro in our group and picked up some nice gains, he's also tuning one of our guys Cam and nitrous GTO's and a Cam, Maggie, Nitrous CTS-V as well as my someday finished PT88 355. Anyway post up over there and theres plenty of help and knowledge.

I have a street dyno excel sheet that I built....have been fine tuning it for over a year and a half.... its very accurate...
used it to tune my car... went to the dyno and the #'s were almost dead on...

but I do know a couple of shops nearby that we can use for a dyno if you want that...

either way...you still have to go to the street/track to get the Air Fuel correct with real world circumstances

I don't have to have a dyno but I would like to know what my numbers. I'm a month or so off but I'm a virgin to the ls series performance wise. I need some help for sure with what combo to use. Pm me a average price of what it will cost me. I know it will not be concreate but just a guess. Thanks, post in the tnfbody now. Kris

Tuning really doesnt care if the turbo's an ebay special or a billet turbonetics. what you need to be carefull of is some of the ebay turbos have glues together housings and outa balanced wheels. if it was me and you wanted to do something on the cheap you should talk to modular turbo and get them to shp ya a MP T70 or 76. I think they are going fo raround 500 bucks and atleast they have a more proven track record. you can also get a nice turbonetics TC 76 or 78 for about 950-1000 bran new.... just some food for thought.
