Default My Camaro build thread

My car as of now is in a thousand parts due to a spun rod bearing in the fall, so i figured i might as well put something bigger in there now. I have a 98 camaro ss thats in the process of getting a 408. I have been trying to work on it all winter but its hard going to school 3 hours away. Hope to have it running alteast buy the end of May but we will see how that goes. Slowly but surely im getting some work done to the car. Got it all clean and painted (engine bay) this last weekend while i have been collecting parts. Bought the short block from Tommy (the nicest guy ever) in NJ from Twisted Minds Racing and i switched my set up. Was going to do ported 243 heads with a FAST 90 but sold the fast and im going to run a victor jr. with a 4bbl throttle body, a plate and a ms4 (for now) Enjoy!

some build pictures

In primer

Painted

And i made some templets to cover the hvac box i removed and to cover the fuses

Also got the big tire under my car now too

the short block was $3300 plus about another $3000 for everything else. I just spend about a grad today on a FAST 4150 tb, spectre carb hat and piping, throttle cable w/ bracket and injectors. So hopefully this thing will be put back together soon and running!

They are actually American Racing Rebles that go on the front on my friends car. The tires on the back pro stars were shot when i got it so i just took his front wheels and up then on the back. They were only 255 wide so i could light them up rolling down the high way. Fun but scary lol

Didn't really do much work since it was opening day for spring turkey Monday so i was getting ready for that. I didnt however get some parts in. I dont really like the red and blue, but i couldnt pass up a good deal to save $100 or so. The throttle body is a FAST and i got it for $485 shipped brand new. So anyone that is intrested just PM me and ill send you the link since they arent a sponer.
