I hate my Borla tips
I have a Borla adjustable catback exhaust and I LOVE how it sounds. I have been nothing but pleased with it except for the tips...it's those square dual "intercooled" tips and quite frankly they are impossible to clean and I just don't like the look of them. I'm just not a fan of the square design and they always look dirty even immediately after I clean them. It's also very hard to even see that I have an exhaust from a distance because the metal is so thin. What would you guys recommend for good looking tips that are easy to keep looking good (and not too expensive!)? I would prefer dual tips, since I don't think there is enough room to cut off and weld on single tips and make it look good. Oh and does it being "intercooled" make a difference in how it sounds at all or is it just for looks?

I have a Borla catback too. And like you, I really like how it sounds but hate the tips. I'd like to do a CME but I don't think the Borla will work with it so I'll end up sending it and get a different catback and go CME from there.

I just did some quick searching and I really like the Corsa dual tips but they are so expensive! Like $180 for a pair...that is ridiculous for a piece of metal that small.

Those Borla tips look good on a TA with the cutouts for the exhaust, but not for a camaro that has the single piece rear bumper cover with no cutouts. For a camaro, I've always like the oval GMMG tips.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with these:
http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/dual-exhaust-tips.html
They are basically corsa clones and I think that is a good price. I like the ones 6LE has better but not enough to justify an extra $100.

I like those alot. I started hating my Borla tips recently. 2 days after a wash their dirty and not easy to clean, I agree totally.

BTW, got any pics of your current borla tips? I've been trying to decide what to get for my car and those came to mind. Not sure how they would look with my 6LE DE valence...

Can you get some pictures of how you did the piping? As you know Borla only has the drivers side tip going through the muffler while the passenger side is open so I'm sure you had to customize the piping.

The only downside is those are just 2.25" in 3" out. 6LE is the only one I know of that has the 2.5" in 3.5" out (and larger) so its gonna suck once he shuts down.

The inlets come in 2.5" and 3" as well which are what most of our STOCK and AFTERMARKET catbacks are.
Necking down to 2.25" at the end of the exhaust seems pretty silly to me...
