A friend of mine just purchased a ZR1 and I am wondering where we need to start with this car. What is everyone doing to these cars as far as bolt ons?
Pulley, air intake headers where do we need to start?
thanks

Your friend is a lucky man.
Headers, no cats, and a dyno tune would be a hell of a start i think.

Make sure he is used to driving a car with that much power before you start modding. I would hate to see it wrapped around a pole. If he has experiance with cars like this then intake, headers and tune.

^^^^^^, But with something like that I would probably still keep the cats on there. But some large 1 3/4" Long tubes, and high flow cats, with a custom x pipe would get you a totally different car.

Intake, headers, port heads, pulley, and a tune :)

lol as a member of LS1TECH doing nothing is not an option. Yeah he can deff handle his own with this car..........he traded a H/C 08 ZO6 in for this car. So headers and a pulley swap(15 lbs)+ tune should do the trick?
What about air intakes........I've heard that the air intakes havn't really been perfected enough for these cars yet.......lean codes etc.

Dont overlook the snout, quite restrictive when compared to what the aftermarket has to offer.
If it's Drag Racing then I'd suggest a set of sticky DR first...if he going to a Road Course... I won't even try to suggest....

We can help out with parts and even a mail order tune that will pick up a fair amount of HP on the ZR1, you can read the article on our ZR1 upgrade packages which was featured on the cover of Vette magazine last month.
