Default Steering wheel

Well i noticed while driving home that the controls for the volume, play and mute buttons are no longer lighting up. Any way to fix this? I assume removing the steering wheel or something and replacing some bulbs...Anyone help a brotha out?

You can just pull out the controls. They slide out with some pulling and unplug them. The lights are LEDs that are sodered in the board

I soldered new leds on mine 2 or 3 years ago. All of them are still burning bright. I wired in brighter led's to the lights above the door handle too, but they still suck. Wish they would have had lighted switches like normal cars. Oh, well.

Fixing the controls is pretty easy. Like bigj said. butter knife...flathead screwdriver...either works. Pop out the controls and unplug them, pop them apart, clip out the old bulb and solder in the new one.

Just plug the connector back in and push them back into the steering wheel. Really simple.

My steering wheel controls don't seem to work, but they light up great. Any idea on fixing this?

They are not LEDS, they are minibulbs. You have to de-solder the burnt ones and solder in the new.
