Default Kind of a dumb question...

Got my SOS cage kit, and I plan on driving to the shop for the install. Will the car run with the dash out of the car? I'm thinking it will, but just wanna make sure before I go stripping the whole interior out

Keep everything connected if you can. When I did my HVAC delete I took out my dash and hand pretty much everything disconnected then I realized I left the windows open and the car was outside. So I hooked up the battery thinnking it wouldnt be a problem to put the windows back up because I didn't disconnect the window switches and something behind the dash started smoking. The dash was still partially in the car at that point so I couldnt see what it was. Right away I stopped and once the dash was back in everything still worked fine. So I'd just plug everything back in once the dash is out just incase.

I have a '98 TA and same as you I planned on driving to the shop for the 10pt cage install, stripped everything out. Apparantly the alternator doesn't charge when the guages are disconnected. Car died about a 1/4 mile from the shop-how ironic.
